Ceramic Media for REEF ONE Aquariums

Extra ceramic media can be added to your Reef One aquarium. This will increase the area available for biological filtration and makes it easier to anchor plants into position.

Ceramic media is a man made material with a massive surface area for housing beneficial bacteria which activates the biological filtration within your aquarium. Adding more increases the surface area available for bacteria colonisation which enhances biological filtration. Ceramic media will not alter the water ph.

TIP: It is not obligatory to replace the ceramic media, but if you wish to change the media you should do so gradually, in stages, and not all at once. Changing the media gradually allows the existing filter bacteria to move across and colonise the new media from the old.

- baby biOrb needs only 1 box of 450 gr
- biOrb 30L needs just 2 boxes of 450 gr
- biOrb 60L needs for sure 2 boxes of 450 gr
- biUbe 35L needs at least 2 boxes of 450 gr
